John was raised in Newberg Oregon, where he developed his early interest in fitness and health through his studies in martial arts, and his artistic expression through music in high school. John graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Music Performance, working on the side as an anatomy TA at Pacific University and music tutor for children in the nearby middle and high schools. He then immediately attended George Fox University for his Doctor of Physical Therapy.
John has a strong compassion for helping people return to the activities they enjoy, and help further improve their lives. He uses holistic evidence-based approaches in combination with functional strengthening through exercise, and pain education to help others return to their desired level of function. He is education and movement-focused, working hard to incorporate his clinical knowledge with patient preference to provide quality patient care.
Outside of the Clinic, John enjoys the variety of life involving active recreational activities including rock climbing, martial arts, camping, hiking, weight lifting, but also enjoys reading, cooking, and playing games with his friends and family.
