Jordan grew up in Portland Oregon and attended Jesuit high-school. She got her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego where she studied Sociology and Leadership. She then went on to get her masters in Clinical Mental Health from George Fox University. Jordan graduated with her masters in 2023. She spent the last year of her program interning at Allies in change, a domestic violence centered counseling agency where she did group therapy, couples therapy, and individual.
Although she has an interest in working with many different populations, she has a special interest in combining her love of movement and her own history with chronic pain and working with patients going through similar obstacles. Jordans theoretical orientation is person-centered which just means she prioritizes the therapeutic environment. It is important for her that the space is empathetic, non-judgemental, and supportive. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and she enjoys incorporating Cognitive Behavioral techniques and focusing on self-talk and the ways in which it manifests in ones life and impacts the view people have of themselves and the world around them.
As far as her interests goes, Jordan loves spending time with her family and friends, as well as spending time cuddling her two dogs. She also enjoys being active and doing things like pilates and in her down time watching reality tv.
