Julie is the owner and director of TAI Ballard Physical Therapy and has been part of this family company for over 25 years. She has a deep-rooted passion for helping others improve their quality of life and achieve their highest potential. Throughout her career, she has served in several communities across the Pacific Northwest including Eugene, Renton, and Bellevue before making the Ballard clinic her home in 2010. Julie is honored to be part of this vibrant community and takes pride in supporting the care and wellness of her neighbors.
She earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of South Dakota in 2000, following a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (2008) and a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) through the North American Institute of Manual Physical Therapy (2007).
Julie’s clinical focus is orthopedics, with a special interest in foot/ankle conditions and lumbar spine pathology. She has also completed advanced training through the Titleist Performance Institute and enjoys working with golfers to help them stay on course both literally and physically. Julie considers everyone an athlete in their own right and is passionate about meeting patients where they are, helping them return to their highest levels of function and fitness.
She also has extensive experience in treating Women’s Health conditions and remains a dedicated leader in the care of pre- and post-partum issues.
Outside the clinic, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, cooking, and lifting weights. She is an avid supporter of women’s sports and can often be found cheering on the Seattle Storm and Reign FC as well as her own high schooler who plays for Seattle United.
