Physical Therapist

About

Kendra Ickes completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Idaho State University. She is originally from Montana, and received her B.S. from the University of Montana and M.S. from Utah State University in wildlife and environmental sciences. She moved to Boise in 2002, and adjusted her life’s trajectory to begin teaching yoga full time. She taught group and private classes and has extensive experience teaching many forms of yoga. She eventually decided to deepen her knowledge and study of the human body and performance by returning to school and attaining her DPT.

Her aim as a therapist is to understand each patient’s movement and functional goals, and work with them to develop a plan of care to help meet them. Kendra has an intuitive and compassionate treatment approach, with a focus on whole-person wellness. She has special training in pelvic health, and is especially excited to work with women before, during, and after pregnancy, and throughout all of life’s changes to support them in their fitness and life goals.

Kendra loves the outdoors and spends her down time hiking, camping, gardening, and being a busy mom to her two boys and one large Goldendoodle.
