Leeza graduated from Oregon State University – Cascades with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and earned their undergraduate degree from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. While attending OSU, Leeza participated in advocacy through Oregon’s APTA Student Leadership Committee, conducted research on chronic ankle instability, and took part in the AHEC Scholars program, which provided interdisciplinary training and hands-on experience in rural and underserved communities. Leeza studied physical therapy at the European Center for Knee Arthrofibrosis in Lugano, Switzerland, where they gained international experience in physical therapy and high-level athlete performance.
Leeza has clinical experience working with a diverse patient population, including athletes and people of all ages and abilities. Leeza holds a particular interest in orthopedic and combat sports rehabilitation, with a focus on understanding how movement patterns and injury impact long-term function, performance, and wellness. As an athlete, Leeza has competed in combat sports for over 10 years, including several gold medal wins at state, national, and international tournaments in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. Leeza is passionate about collaborating with patients to provide care that meets their unique needs and goals while honoring the ways each person’s lived experiences shape their health.
Outside of work, Leeza enjoys reading, dancing around the house with their partner and dog, exploring new places, and staying active and playful through a variety of martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Krav Maga, and MMA training. They enjoy the challenge, energy, and fun of these activities — and bring that same curiosity and enthusiasm into their work as a clinician.
