Marisa was born and raised in Southern Oregon and later moved to McMinnville to attend Linfield University, where she played collegiate tennis and earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.
She spent four years working as a Certified Athletic Trainer in Salem, Oregon, focusing on the care and rehabilitation of high school and collegiate athletes. She then worked for one year in Washington as an industrial athletic trainer, specializing in the prevention and management of workplace injuries.
Marisa went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Fox University, where she also conducted research on floor transfer abilities in community-dwelling older adults and their relation to fall risk—an area that continues to inform her clinical practice.
Marisa is a licensed physical therapist dedicated to helping individuals restore movement, improve function, and enhance quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care. With a strong foundation in orthopedic and neuromuscular rehabilitation, she also has specialized training in pelvic health through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute Level 1 coursework.
Marisa is passionate about supporting patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery. She takes a compassionate and holistic approach, empowering each patient with education and tools to achieve confidence and long-term wellness.
Outside of the clinic, Marisa enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband. Together, they love lifting weights, hiking, paddle boarding, and playing pickleball.
