About

Matt received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. Before that, he was a 4-year collegiate baseball player, with two years spent at Clark College in Vancouver, WA while receiving his associate’s degree, and two years at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR while receiving his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Between earning his undergraduate degree and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Matt gained a lot of experience working as a physical therapy aide for over 5 years with NW Therapy in Happy Valley, OR.

Matt’s passion for physical therapy developed through the love of sports and fitness, being a multi-sport athlete all the way into college. Outside general orthopedic and post-operative conditions, Matt has a passion for treating all forms of athletes (recreational, competitive, and the weekend warrior). He strives to guide patients of all ages and activity levels with a focus on pain reduction, increasing activity, and improving functional strength, to help patients achieve their goals. Currently he plans on completing residency through Therapeutic Associates to receive his OCS and COMT. Matt also has a goal of achieving a CSCS and SCS.

Apart from Physical Therapy, Matt loves to stay active through lifting weights, hiking, playing baseball/softball, indoor soccer, and golf. He also enjoys watching movies, listening to a variety of music, and doing jig-saw puzzles. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their cat.
