Melissa is a graduate from Pacific University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and has been proud to call the PNW her home for more than 20 years. She received her undergraduate degree in General Biology from Eastern Washington University while also playing collegiate basketball for the Eastern Eagles.
As a Division I basketball player, Melissa’s passion for physical therapy developed with her experience as a competitive athlete, and continued as she played professionally for Evo New Basket Oberhausen in Germany following college. She hopes to show as much care and compassion to her patients as she received during her own rehabilitation as a young athlete.
Melissa loves treating all peoples and celebrating patient accomplishments. Her treatment focuses on functional movements, prioritizing patient goals and whole body health. She has experience treating chronic pain, neurological disorders, athletes of all ages, and a broad range of orthopedic impairments.
With her basketball career behind her, Melissa is now an avid runner (Portland Marathon finisher), reader and outdoorswoman. She enjoys exploring Portland by foot, bike or kayak and is always looking for a new adventure!
