Orion Kooistra

Orion Kooistra was born in Anchorage, AK where he lived in a cabin in the Chugach Mountains and was King in the North. He set aside his crown to move to Portland and become a physical therapist. He resides there with a queen, a young prince, the Duchess of Kibble, and the Earl of Catnip.

Orion earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2010. In 2020 he earned his Orthopedic Specialist Certification from the APTA after completing a residency program. He is interested in using exercise to maximize healthspan and avoid early frailty and decrepitude.

Orion enjoys writing one paragraph, third person descriptions of personal hobbies outside of work. When not writing descriptions, he might be exercising, hiking, or writing painfully rudimentary computer programs and applications. He used to like music. He still does, but he used to, too.
