Rachel is a highly skilled orthopedic physical therapist with a special interest in orthopedic and developmental pediatrics. Raised in Portland, Oregon, Rachel’s early love for outdoor activities and sports ignited her passion for physical therapy and the importance of movement in adults and children’s development. Her early experience with outdoor activities and sports laid the foundation for her career in physical therapy.
Rachel earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University, where she focused on orthopedics with a special interest in pediatrics. Rachel completed an orthopedic residency and is a Certified Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Therapist (COMT) with the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), and board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
She is skilled in working with people of all ages including infants with developmental disorder effecting mobility, adolescents and adults with sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, acute and chronic orthopedic injuries, hypermobility syndromes, persistent pain, motor vehicle accidents and workers compensation injuries.
Her treatment philosophy combines evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, patient centered approach, ensuring each patient receives individualized care tailored to their needs. Rachel’s blend of orthopedic expertise, pediatric care and genuine passion for improving individuals’ quality of like makes her a valuable resource for families.
When she is not helping her patients, Rachel enjoys being out in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest through hiking with her dog. She also enjoys snowboarding, playing soccer and gardening.
