Why join our team?

Therapeutic Associates is physical therapist owned and directed since 1952. Our clinics are managed by owners and directors who have the support and resources of a large organization, and the freedom to manage their clinic operations with their teammates to best serve their patients and the larger community. We offer an unprecedented Leadership Development Training Program to provide mentorship, education, peer support, and vision to the future leaders of our company and our profession. We also offer one-on-one Mentorship, APTA-credentialed Orthopaedic Residency Program, Research opportunities, coursework, clinical Listserv, and many other education opportunities for our therapists.

Professional Development

Lifelong learning is a Core Value and a big part of our culture. We offer and encourage education funding, learning experiences and growth opportunities for all teammates.

Our APTA accredited Orthopaedic Residency program is designed to support private practice physical therapists in the development of advanced clinical skills and prepare them for a number of post-graduation pathways.

These collaborative sessions include 1-2 days of professional development and clinical learning. This experience not only orients teammates to our culture, philosophies, and opportunities, but also gives our therapists a chance to learn from their peers, as well as interact with our Leadership team and hang out and have fun.

One of our core values is "We support a culture of learning." We take learning and development seriously, offering a number of educational experiences to all teammates. Our courses, workshops, webinars and series offer timely subject matter facilitated by leading instructors to help our therapists and all teammates, regardless of their role, continuously grow.

Mentorship plays a strong role in our company identity. New PTs receive one-on-one mentorship to support their professional growth and education goals, and ultimately, to provide the highest quality care to our patients.

Giving back to our communities

Therapeutic Associates is focused on charitable works in our communities through our PT for Humanity Team. We do this by supporting and empowering our employees to participate in service opportunities and partnering with organizations that reflect our Core Values locally, nationally and even globally. We believe these efforts engage and connect our teammates and allow all of us to tap into a deeper sense of purpose. Therapeutic Associations supports these activities through funding and paid time off for projects our teammates are passionate about. We are excited to support those endeavors and the good works of our employees through employee service scholarships, company-wide support of PT Day of Service, and our Charitable Day of Giving program.

Student Opportunities

As a learning organization, we are committed to providing opportunities for students to develop their skills and encourage growth toward personal mastery.

We partner with a variety of DPT, PTA, and other programs to support student learning. Giving back to the next generation of practitioners through clinical placements is an important part of our culture.

Bones for advanced course

We offer tuition support programs for advanced education. Often used for clinical development, this funding may apply to other endeavors. All clinicians can receive student loan reimbursement after 1 year of employment.

Our History

Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy was born from the vision of two of the founding members of the private practice section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Physical Therapists Jim McKillip and Robert Dicus started the company in 1952, inspired to create a safe, caring and healing environment where patients of every age and ability could achieve their goals and learn to live life without limits. Their standards of excellence continue to drive our company to this day.
