Kamaria received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. Prior to her graduate career, she took a gap year to cross country travel after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Movement Science from the University of Michigan’s School of Kinesiology. She is a proud native of Detroit, MI and has been enjoying all of what Portland-Metro has to offer her.
Kamaria enjoys working with patients with orthopedic concerns and is most fulfilled when her patients feel more educated about their bodies when they leave the clinic versus when they entered. She also has a passion for treating patients with pelvic floor concerns and was first led into this specialty after an introduction to Black Maternal Mortality rates. She hopes to blend her passion for improving the peri-partum experience with her training and strives to intersect mindfulness, community responsibility, and diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into her care.
Outside of the clinic, Kamaria plans to utilize the power of storytelling and creative writing to foster patient centered care and advocacy for the profession through authorship. She enjoys blogging, dancing, performing spoken word, hiking, reading, traveling, and food experiences.
