Elizabeth “Lizzy” graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Athletic Training in 1991. She went on to attend graduate school at the University of Indianapolis where she earned a Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1994. With over 20 years of experience, she brings a comprehensive understanding of client care from a variety of settings. Her favorite setting is outpatient.
Along with traditional physical therapy education, Lizzy has specialized training in osteopathic techniques, which are gentle, hands-on approaches that assess a person as a whole and addresses the root causes of pain. These include Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute and Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. These skills are effective with a wide range of clients from high level athletes dealing with injuries to others dealing with chronic pain.
Her philosophy is holistic and incorporates the emotional/mental aspect by incorporating intuition training when appropriate. She loves learning and continues to incorporate new techniques to help clients get better quicker. She lives in Springfield with her wife, Catalina, and their dogs. They enjoy hiking, mountain biking, camping, and gardening.
