I returned to playing tennis after an eighteen year hiatus. It was so much fun that I overindulged. I played four times in the first week. What a mistake! I tore an abductor in my left leg. What a pain, and ugly as well. I was referred to Garret Olson, and he rehabilitated that big muscle, by breaking down the pieces that were left in there (ouch) and giving me stretches to help rebuild the surrounding muscles and to limber up other muscles that needed to be strengthened. It took about three months, but I am back on the court at full strength, with a stretching protocol, that has made it possible to get back to playing four times a week, without fear of facing that painful experience again. I am very impressed with the staff at the Southtowne facility and Garret Olson.
