Leah graduated with a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist. After completing her studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, she traveled to Nepal to treat patients at high-volume community health clinics in rural areas of the country with The Acupuncture Relief Project. There she treated both adults and pediatrics and addressed pain, paralysis, stroke recovery, osteoarthritis, shingles, digestive disorders, dermatological conditions, infections, injury, and much more.
Currently, she continues to address both internal and sports medicine. Her approach to diagnosis can include an overall review of bodily systems, structural assessment, and orthopedic testing. Her approach to treatment may combine acupuncture, shiatsu bodywork, herbal medicine, and lifestyle recommendations. Treatment plans are tailored to the unique nature and needs of each patient in alignment with the traditions of Chinese medicine. She supports an integrative medicine model and in utilizing a number of modalities from eastern and western practices to achieve the greatest level of healing for each patient.
