Allison Harney

PT, DPT

Clinic Director | Physical Therapist

About

Allison was born and raised in Portland, OR and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. She also received her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis on Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology from the University of Montana.

She enjoys treating the full spectrum of neuromusculoskeletal injuries through all stages of life. Following jaw surgery as a young adult, she developed a passion for temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) assessment and treatment. This has expanded her practice to include Breathworks to restore functional and restorative breathing patterns. She’s also certified as an orofacial myofunctional therapist, addressing structural and behavioral retraining of the tongue and facial muscles.

Her other specialties include rehabilitation of neurological injuries, running gait analysis and sport-specific rehabilitation, pre and post-operative treatment for surgical intervention, and treatment of chronic conditions that have not responded to previous treatment.

To help patients reach their goals and remain active, Allison utilizes cutting-edge, evidence-based practice with a combination of manual therapy, biomechanical analysis, and movement. She brings compassion to her practice and finds joy in preventative and rehabilitative care.

Allison enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. You’ll often find her sampling Portland’s fantastic restaurant scene, exploring a hiking trail, or cozied up with her golden retriever.
