Kaison Uehara

Exercise Specialist

About

Kaison is currently entering his senior year at Linfield University, majoring in Exercise Science with a minor focus in Sport Management. He hopes to attend physical therapy school following graduation in May 2024. His passion for Physical Therapy stems from his diverse background in fitness as well as being involved in a multitude of sports at a young age. Kaison’s specific interests lie in the rehabilitation of elite level athletes, stemming from his own injuries sustained while competing in Olympic Weightlifting.

Kaison is currently looking to obtain his NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association), CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) certification this year and begin to train athletes in a variety of different S&C and therapeutic modalities. Some of his long-term goals for physical therapy lie in combining the two worlds of fitness and personal training, with therapy and rehabilitation.

Outside of the world of physical therapy, Kaison currently competes in USA Olympic Weightlifting. He is currently trying to earn a spot on the US collegiate Olympic traveling team to represent Team USA in international competition. He also enjoys traveling back to Hawaii, to hike, surf, and spend time with family.
