Originally from a small town in rural South Dakota, Kirby was heavily involved in athletic activities throughout his youth. Seemingly made of glass, many injuries sent Kirby to see physical therapists, where his passion for helping the body heal and function started to bloom in new ways. Seeking adventure, Kirby headed out west to attend the University of Oregon, where he earned his B.S. in Human Physiology. While in college, Kirby worked in multiple PT settings, including a role serving on the athletic medicine staff for the Duck football team. In the clinic, Kirby enjoys energizing PT sessions whenever he can, helping get patients back to the active passions they love. Kirby is currently applying to graduate school, planning to continue his progress towards his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2024.
When he’s not at PACE, Kirby enjoys watching or playing sports with friends, getting out on the lake, finding new outdoor trips to go on, and exploring many of Portland’s famous eateries.
