About

Marlissa received her Masters of Occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in Southern California. While in graduate school she was an active member of her cohort, serving as the president of the student association and presenting at multiple conferences. She also holds a Bachelors of Fine Art and enjoys the sculptural element of making custom orthotics for patients.

She has worked in several other areas of occupational therapy, including acute care, orthopedic rehab, and pediatrics. Currently she is pursuing her hand therapy certification by accruing 4,000 hours of experience with upper extremities and enrolling in continuing education courses. She enjoys creative problem solving alongside patients to help them return to their meaningful activities.
