Nick Wilkins, Doctor of Physical Therapy, received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. While attending UCR, he competed on the golf team under full scholarship. The team won 2 Division I Big West titles. His senior year he earned national recognition as an All American Scholar.
He continued on to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, graduating with top honors of his class with the Alumni Scholarship Achievement Award from Loma Linda University in 2010.
For the next two years, he worked as a Caddie and PT for a professional golfer on the PGA Tour, helping contribute to 3 professional victories. He then moved to the great Pacific Northwest where he was offered the privilege to work under Fellowship trained Tim Brinker at Therapeutic Associates in Hillsboro. During this time, Nick completed his certification in manual physical therapy (CMPT) with the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and his Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2015. By the end of 2020, Nick completed his COMT certification with NAIOMT as an orthopedic manipulative therapist and his fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy (FAAOMPT).
As the director of Therapeutic Associates Sellwood, Nick strives to translate his personal relationship with sports and advanced knowledge in orthopedic manual therapy into a tailored experience for each patient. He has a particular passion in educating patients about the cause of their symptoms and utilizing therapeutic techniques unique to each patient’s needs to help them achieve their health goals.
Living close by and working in the Sellwood neighborhood allows him and his wife to enjoy the small town feel. Outside of work, Nick enjoys playing on a recreational hockey team and golfing the beautiful Oregon links as well as spending time with their son Mason.
