A decade ago, Therapeutic Associates opened its physical therapy clinic in Meridian, Idaho. The physical therapist-owned and operated clinic has become an important healthcare resource for the Meridian community, providing comprehensive, high-quality physical therapy care for the Treasure Valley.
As they mark the clinic’s 10th anniversary, the staff is also celebrating being in a new location. Having outgrown the original space, an upgrade to a larger facility means an opportunity to increase and optimize patient care. Check out the video below for a look inside!
Like any move, the process was a bit stressful, clinic director Brian Weiderman reflected.
“But overall, now that we’re here and settling into the space, I’m really happy about it,” he said.
The new space, which is on S Topaz Way just south of East Overland Road, offers double the square footage of the previous location just up the road.
“We have a lot more room to move here,” Brian said. “There are fewer potential collisions as our PTs are moving around in the clinic and we have five private treatment rooms, an expansion over the three we had before.”
The treatment rooms, Brian added, are also nice and large, ensuring nobody feels crowded, even if they bring family members to an appointment.
The new gym is also spacious, providing ample room for creativity among the physical therapy staff as they assess patients, check their mobility and work with them on various exercises.
“I know it sounds a little dorky, but I’m excited that we have stairs because I really have wanted to be able to easily access stairs for strength training with patients after knee surgeries or ankle surgeries,” Brian emphasized.
Being on the second floor, he added, also means there are great views out the expansive windows.
“It’s neat to see the weather rolling in. We have trees all around us and so I know in the fall it’s going to be gorgeous. In the winter, we’ll get to see the foothills once the leaves fall off the trees, so I’m kind of looking forward to that as well.”
As the team at Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy – Meridian reflects on the clinic’s rich history and all the fun they’ve had, they also look forward to future successes.
“Our long-term goals include increasing our staff and therefore being able to offer more morning and evening appointments for patients, and feeling like this larger clinic is crowded after another five years,” Brian said.
