Katie is a graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Mt. Hood Community College. Prior to graduating from the PTA program, she earned her Associate of Science degree from Mt. Hood Community College and her Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University. She began her journey with Therapeutic Associates in 2019 as a physical therapist aide while completing her coursework, which further expanded her knowledge of exercise training, anatomy and physiology, and orthopedic conditions.
Katie’s primary goal is to maximize patient’s functional mobility and strength through a wholistic approach to care, focusing on joint/soft tissue mobilizations, evidence-based exercise prescription, and promoting an active lifestyle. She brings compassion and drive into helping patients reach their goals and enjoy their favorite activities, all while fostering meaningful connections with her patients. She plans on continuing her education with an emphasis on manual therapy, women’s health, and orthopedics.
Katie is an Oregon native and lives in Fairview, Oregon with her partner, Hunter. Katie is an avid weightlifter and powerlifter. She also enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, backpacking, camping, bouldering, biking, and traveling. When spending time indoors, she enjoys baking, cooking, reading, and playing with her kitten, Eva.
