Shawn Dailey received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana and opened Therapeutic Associates L.O. Physical Therapy & Wellness in 2009. He has over a decade of experience in orthopedic sports physical therapy, injury prevention, the biomechanics of efficient athletic movement, and youth through elite athlete performance development. Shawn has worked with athletic organizations from local High Schools to professional and Olympic individuals/teams.

His passion lies in providing the highest quality rehabilitative care, injury prevention, long-term youth development, and research-validated athletic enhancement training. Therapeutic Associates L.O. Physical Therapy utilizes a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including physical therapists, athletic trainers, massage therapists, Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Practitioners, registered/licensed dietitian, strength and conditioning coaches, and personal trainers. As one of the most diverse teams in Portland and the Northwest, their mission is to provide quality rehabilitation, athletic performance enhancement, and life-long fitness.

Shawn is the community Physical Therapist to the Portland Trail Blazers as a part of the Blazers Health & Performance Team. He is also a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Expert and Junior Coach. Shawn is one of only four PTs in the world who were part of the Nike SPARQ Performance Network and continues to work with the Nike Training Network and the Innovation Kitchen. He serves on Advisory Boards for the George Fox University Physical Therapy School and Stafford Hills Athletic Club.

Outside of time in the clinic, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife KC, son Xander, daughter Shalane, and two golden retrievers. He enjoys sports, including basketball, golf, running, and outdoor sports like hiking, biking, and fly-fishing.

Kyla Walish, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Kyla Walish is a Wilsonville, Oregon native who attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona for both her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She originally came to TAI Lake Oswego as an intern and has been with the team since the completion of her Doctorate in 2012. Kyla is interested in manual therapy, therapeutic activity, sports and activity rehabilitation, kids’ fitness, and helping people get back to what they enjoy doing.

While in undergrad at NAU, Kyla competed in track and field and was a member of the 2006 Indoor Big Sky Conference Championship team. As an avid runner, she is an advocate for active living and injury prevention for all ages.

She stays active and enjoys running, biking, reading, hiking, gardening, and working on her house. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband Bobby and her family.

Nick Hadinger, PT, DPT

Nick Hadinger is originally from Tucson, AZ where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Arizona and graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Growing up, he participated in just about every sport you can think of but swimming was always a passion. During his undergraduate experience at the U of A, he swam for the Men’s Swimming and Diving program, was a multiple time Pac 12 Academic All-American and competed at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. Because of his athletic career he has always been drawn to working with an orthopedic and athletic population and has experience working with NFL, MLB and NFL combine athletes at The Fischer Institute.

Nick has a strong interest in manual therapy and total body wellness in order to provide the highest quality of evidence-based patient care. In his free time he continues to enjoy swimming, weight lifting, playing basketball, camping, snowboarding, grilling and, of course, cheering on the Wildcats. If it’s in the water, the woods, the sun or the snow you can count him in!

Gwen Schulze - Lake Oswego

Gwen Schulze, PT, DPT

Gwen Schulze received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2017. During her time in Los Angeles Gwen gained experience working with people of all ages in post-operative rehabilitation, injury prevention, or non-surgical recovery to return to optimal function, work, or sport. She had the opportunity to work in Parkinson’s rehabilitation utilizing BIG therapy and has experience working in vestibular rehabilitation.

Gwen grew up in Silverdale, Washington, where she played almost every sport under the sun and developed her love of the outdoors. During high school Gwen played basketball and swam competitively. Gwen was a collegiate swimmer and completed her undergraduate degree at Willamette University in Psychology. Gwen has a passion for helping others achieve their goals and reaching their full physical potential.

In her free time Gwen enjoys spending time with her fiancé and friends. Her fiancé and her enjoy exploring new hiking trails throughout the PNW, running, going to Blazer games, snowboarding, playing basketball, and trying new and interesting restaurants throughout the Portland area.

Kaylene ran collegiate cross-country as a freshman, and was later the student athletic trainer for the cross-country and track teams. After finishing physical therapy school, Kaylene worked in several states as a traveling physical therapist. Her travel work took her to New York City where she ended up living and practicing for 6 years prior to moving to Portland five years ago.

Kaylene enjoys working with all patients and conditions, and her goal is to always provide high quality rehabilitation and education for optimal results.

Outside of the clinic, Kaylene enjoys running, cooking, yoga, weight training, and spending time with her husband and her three kids.

Bren Schmidt, PT, MPT

Physical Therapist

Bren is originally from Norman, Oklahoma, where he attended the University of Oklahoma (OU) for both his undergraduate degree and graduate degree of Masters of Physical Therapy. Bren grew up playing in competitive soccer leagues, running, hiking, going on backpacking trips, and attending Sooners football games. While attending OU, Bren was a rock climbing instructor during the school year and spent his summers as a backpacking guide in the Sangre de Cristos mountains in New Mexico. Bren has a great love for travel and took the opportunity to study abroad in Chile where during his free time he climbed numerous mountain ranges including parts of the Peruvian Andes and Northern Patagonia. Bren’s passion for sports/manual therapy grew during PT school where he worked with a range of athletes including the OU School of Performing Arts, the Oklahoma City Ballet, OU collegiate athletes and volunteered with the Special Olympics. Because of this love for the outdoors, upon graduation, Bren quickly found a position at a clinic in Bend, Oregon.

Since then he has held positions in multiple other parts of Oregon including Klamath Falls and Ashland, where he met his wife. Then nearly 6 years ago Bren moved to the Rocky Mountains where he briefly took a position at the Keystone Ski Resort as part of their Mountain Safety Team then worked in Fort Collins, CO in a PT clinic for the last 5 years treating a wide verity of patients and injuries. While in Colorado Bren enrolled the Manual Therapy Institute to pursue his Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist accreditation. Bren and his wife now love doing anything outdoors in the PNW, going to breweries and restaurants, playing with their dogs, running, SUP boarding, and traveling.

Bren now has 8+ years of PT experience providing evidence-based patient centered care utilizing a wide variety of techniques and skills that help restore function and movement to patients so they can return to their passions.

Nicole Todisco - Oregon City Physical Therapy

Nicole Todisco earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Rutgers University where she was awarded a clinical excellence award for outstanding community service. She has had diverse exposure to many different outpatient clinics in New Jersey, Arizona, and Idaho. Through these clinical experiences she gained experience working with acute injuries, post-operative rehab, chronic pain and competitive athletes. Her interests include working with athletes of all ages and abilities to help them seek their full potential through manual therapy, sport-specific training and injury prevention. During her education, Nicole worked as a strength and conditioning coach leading group fitness classes as well as one-on-one personal training. She developed and implemented a mobility and mindfulness class that was well received by her clients. Her passion lies in holistic health and wellness throughout evidence-based intervention to support people to achieve and surpass their goals.

Nicole grew up in the Green Mountains of Vermont and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Vermont where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science. Nicole grew up playing ice hockey competitively and with the women’s club team at UVM. She also participated in various endurance/fitness-based challenges since her graduation. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys almost any and all outdoor activity including skiing, hiking, camping, biking and yoga.

Joel Enterline - Lake Oswego Physical Therapy

Joel Enterline, ATC

Physical Therapy Aide | Athletic Trainer

Joel is a Portland native certified and licensed athletic trainer who earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from George Fox University in April 2017. During his time as a student, he attended clinical experience working with Wilsonville High School’s athletic trainer. He was also the head student athletic trainer for George Fox University’s women’s lacrosse team and helped with various other athletic teams during his time there.

Joel began his time at Therapeutic Associates as a student and currently works as a physical therapy aide in the clinic. He also provides outreach athletic training services to Lakeridge High School in the fall. Joel will also be the athletic trainer for Tualatin High School’s club lacrosse team in the spring. He spends part of his time throughout the year at sporting events such as rugby, soccer tournaments, and football showcases and events.

Joel was a three-sport athlete at Madison High School and played baseball for a year at George Fox. He also participated in drumline and concert band in college and high school. During his free time, Joel loves to go bouldering at the Circuit gym and exploring all that Portland has to offer. His future goal is to provide outreach sports medicine services to marginalized communities, schools, and programs that don’t have access to physical therapy/sports medicine professionals.

Kyle Newton

Kyle Newton grew up in Manhattan Beach, California and landed in Portland via Austin, Texas. He attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and is currently a student pursuing his PTA degree. He is passionate about sports and has experience playing football, rugby, basketball, baseball, soccer, and both indoor and beach volleyball. His hobbies include fly fishing, hiking, watching and playing sports, and spending time with friends and family. Hopefully he can instill this healthy love of sports to enthusiasts of all ages.

DeDe Lamont, LMT #7609

DeDe Lamont’s background in fitness training has helped to mold her work as a massage therapist into a unique style of her own. She carefully assesses each client to determine where a muscular imbalance may exist, which in turn may be causing pain. Whether it is the weakness of a particular muscle, a postural problem, or a muscle spasm, DeDe strives first to uncover the cause of the pain. Then through massage, she works to normalize the soft tissue, improve flexibility, and restore proper movement patterns. Her final step, as a fitness trainer, is to provide strength and conditioning exercises to help guide the person to optimal physical health.

DeDe’s special areas of interest and expertise are deep-tissue massage, chronic pain management, injury rehabilitation, relaxation massage, strength training, flexibility training, cardiovascular exercise advice, and sport-specific massage and exercise programs.

Eliza Werth-Davis, MA, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Eliza grew up in Portland and is a graduate of Jesuit High School. She attended UCLA on a full scholarship for swimming & then attended the University of Hawaii, finishing out her swimming career and obtaining her BA in Sociology. Her most exciting personal sport achievement was attending the Olympic Training facility in Colorado Springs for a National Camp with the top 20 USA female swimmers when she was 16 years old & qualifying for the Olympic Trials.

She married her best friend and college love, Brenton, who played volleyball at UH and then played on the pro-circuit. His career allowed for travel to Europe, Hermosa Beach, & Las Vegas, where Eliza finished out her Master’s Degree in Counseling and practiced with Girls & Boys Town as an in-home therapist.

When TAI Lake Oswego opened in 2009, Eliza jumped at the opportunity for an interview & to move back to Portland. She moved back in 2009 and has been with the company since Lake Oswego opened its doors.

She now resides in Lake Oswego with her husband and 2 sons, Liam & River. She enjoys camping, traveling, spending time with her family, and an occasional glass of wine!

Michelle Tegenkamp, MS, LD

Nutritional Specialist

Michelle received her B.S. degree in Dietetics and a B.S. degree in Kinesiology at Michigan State University. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Nutritional Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her dietetic internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

Before starting Active Nutrition LLC, Michelle’s graduate research focused on body composition and hydration measurements of collegiate-level athletes. Michelle presented lectures on sports nutrition for an introductory nutrition class and a high school cross country camp for several years. Upon completion of her degree, she interned with Athletes’ Performance, where amateur and professional athletes have individual nutrition plans developed based on body composition and performance goals.

As an athlete, Michelle competed in basketball, softball, volleyball, and track in high school and went on to compete in track and field and cross country at Michigan State University. There, she was a two-time All American, Big Ten Champion, three-time Academic All American, and in 2003 was awarded the George Alderton Female Athlete of the Year award. Michelle also represented Canada at 3 World Cross Country Championships.

Personally, Michelle enjoys staying active through running, cycling, swimming, and group exercise classes. She is married to 2008 US Olympian Matt Tegenkamp, who continues to compete in Track and Field. She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her friends, family, and 2 dogs, Bosch and Bailey.

Monica Mabee

Front Office Coordinator

Monica was born into fitness, always exploring, trying new activities, and enjoying the challenge of pushing the body and mind.  She embraces living a healthy lifestyle…possibly with a glass of wine or two!  She thoroughly enjoys visiting her family in the Bay Area where she was born and raised.  Growing up she trained in ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance, as well as being a competitive softball player.  Now living in Oregon for over a decade, she fills her time with getting lost in nature while backpacking, running, and teaching Pilates at a studio in Lake Oswego.

Monica works as the liaison of the clinic, communicating with Physical Therapists, Clinic Staff, Patients, Insurance Companies, Contractors, and our Reginal Office.

In addition to help manage the Lake Oswego clinic, she became a certified IM=X Pilates instructor in 2015, and received her Advanced certification in the Spring of 2016. This has been a great source in helping our patients during their rehabilitation.

Stacy is a Portland native. She has always been passionate about health, fitness and wellness. Growing up, she played soccer and trained in ballet. She participated in soccer, track and cheerleading at Grant High School in NE Portland.

She went to college at University of Oregon and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. Stacy has always loved teaching and fitness so she became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2007 and has spent many years helping people achieve their functional goals. She has worked in the medical field since 2009 as a Rehab Assistant and Office Manager.

Stacy spends her free time working on house projects, gardening and enjoying the great outdoors with her husband and daughter.

Miranda is from the coastal town of Coos Bay, Oregon and has always enjoyed trying new activities. Growing up she participated in soccer, basketball, track & field, and yoga. She went to Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Fine Arts. Although she originally went to school to get a job in design or marketing, after graduating OSU and working in that field for a bit, she decided to switch gears completely and pursue physical therapy. She is currently working on pre-requisite courses to apply for physical therapy assistant school and loving it!

In her free time she can be found painting, reading, baking, or spending time outside in the beautiful PNW.

After interning at the clinic while attending George Fox, Haley joined the staff as an aide. Growing up, she knew she wanted to be involved in the sports world. Haley was involved with athletics at George Fox University playing soccer all four years, as well as basketball for three. Haley works outside the clinic with the Eastside Timbers, a local youth soccer club, and coaches youth soccer camps for the Portland Thorns and Timbers. She also spends her time volunteering with the Portland Thorns as the visiting team liaison.

Haley was born and raised in Gresham, Oregon, where she was always found playing sports. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as hiking, snowboarding, and working out.

Physical Therapy Aide

Spencer Kaufman was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. He has participated in many different sports and physical activities such as Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball, Baseball, Wrestling, Cross Country, Track (Javelin, Pole Vault, 3000M). He attended Oregon State University originally for engineering but after a year of school he joined the Army National Guard. After his training was done he came back to Oregon State and switched his major to Exercise and Sports Science with a pre-Physical therapy option.

After he changed his major he took a personal training preparation class through the university’s recreation facility and was asked to join their team. Soon after joining he took his ACE personal training exam and became a certified personal trainer in 2012. He started personal training and then started teaching group fitness classes, Sports Conditioning and Beaver Bootcamp which combined and became Oregon State’s Dam Fit small group training. Being passionate about physical therapy he took the Kinetic Integrated Exercise Professional (KIEP) course and was asked to be a trainer for them. Through the KIEP training he was able to work with many different populations of injuries and dysfunctions. After a few years he became the supervisor and was allowed to teach the KIEP certification class to other professionals.

In his off time he enjoys weightlifting, running, cycling, backpacking, skiing, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, kayaking and other activities depending on the season.

Alexandra “Sasha” Scamarone is a board-certified acupuncturist licensed in the state of Oregon. Sasha spent her early days in North Carolina, where she ran cross-country and track in high school and later took up yoga, biking, and salsa dancing. Physical activity has always brought her great joy and she is passionate about helping people regain and optimize their function and health with acupuncture and other Chinese medicine therapies.

Sasha completed a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in 2012, graduating with Honors in Research. In her clinical practice, she strives to integrate evidence-based acupuncture research with traditional Chinese medicine therapies. Sasha has five years of clinical experience and has treated patients in a variety of clinical settings. Most recently, she has practiced in a group acupuncture clinic and at an integrated primary care clinic. Sasha has worked alongside primary care providers, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers, and is a strong proponent of an integrative approach to healthcare. Emily was born and raised in Oregon. Health and fitness has always been an avid part of her life. Growing up with very active parents, her childhood was full of hiking, backpacking, many sports some including basketball, soccer, and running. She attended Pacific University and ran for them as well, wanting to study to become a physical therapist but found her calling to be a nurse instead. Working part time and going to school she is working on her degree for nursing. She has become a certified CNA (certified nursing assistant) and plans to hopefully work as a surgical nurse in the ER.
