Orthopedic Musculoskeletal & Joint Problems

Millions of Americans suffer musculoskeletal injuries and millions more undergo orthopedic surgery each year. Sholders, elbows, hips and knees may sustain damaged bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Repetitive-stree injuries are common, too. No matter what type of injury you have we have the training and skill to help you get back to sports and everyday activities sooner and safer than you might think.

How We Can Help

Sports injuries and related orthopedic conditions are common. They may result from diseases such as arthritis or traumatic injury to the bones, muscles and joints anywhere in the body (the musculoskeletal system). These include the upper extremities – neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands or fingers. They may also include the lower extremities such as hips, knees, ankles, feet and toes.

Patients need effective, comprehensive rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries caused by sports and daily living activities. Perhaps they need rehab after an orthopedic surgical procedure – such as a knee or shoulder repair or a total joint replacement for the shoulder, hip or knee. Many people have had total joint replacements. In fact, over 500,000 total joint replacements are performed in America every year.

Our physical therapy treatment plans are based on restoring function using evidence-based protocols. Our plans are designed to meet the individual needs of each patient. Our approach to treatment is to provide an environment that promotes healing and encourages active involvement. We educate patients about their condition and recovery so they have the tools to help themselves heal even faster. We even offer preoperative rehabilitation as an alternative for patients who wish to avoid surgery or who plan to undergo surgery in the near future.

We only see patients in one-to-one treatment sessions and are committed to quality care while building patient and physician trust and relationships. Doctors send their toughest cases to us because they know we get exceptional results faster than most other physical therapists. Our advanced training, certification and decades of experience mean we can help with all kinds of musculoskeletal problems. Our patient-centered staff is highly trained in rapid return to sports while protecting the integrity of a surgical repair. Some of the orthopedic and postsurgical challenges we treat include:

  • Rotator cuff repairs (open or arthroscopic)
  • Shoulder impingements & labral tears
  • ACL, MCL, LCL, PCL, meniscus repairs & post-meniscectomies
  • Total joint replacements (shoulder, hip & knee)
  • Spinal laminectomy, discectomy & fusion
  • Tennis elbow/epicondylitis
  • Achilles & other tendon repairs

We offer comprehensive, intensive hands-on therapy, thorough biomechanical evaluation and muscle strengthening. Our mission is to help patients function at their best. We want you to move without pain and get stronger so you can avoid future injuries. So what would you like to do again without pain? Play tennis or golf? Run? Walk? Participate in a team sport? Enjoy a hobby? Return to work? Or just get back to living your life?

Post-surgical rehabilitation

Our therapists treat a variety of postsurgical conditions and work closely with the surgeon to ensure proper healing and progression of exercises. We have years of experience treating total joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, post spinal surgery, and arthroscopic shoulder, hip, and knee procedures.
